synchronicity

Bashar talks about synchronicity often.

He says synchronicity is the organizing principle that brings to us the circumstances and information and situations in exactly the correct order, at exactly the correct time, in the way you need to act on them.

The concept was introduced by Carl Jung to describe events that coincide in time and appear meaningfully related, yet lack a obvious connection.

Here are some examples:

In 1974 actor Anthony Hopkins was cast in a movie called “The Girl From Petrovka” based on a book by George Feiffer. Hopkins wanted to read the book as he was preparing for the role, but he couldn’t seem to find a copy anywhere. After searching several stores without any luck he decided to give up and catch a train home. As he waited for his train he spotted an abandoned copy of the exact book sitting on a nearby bench, so he snagged it. Two years later when the author visited the film set, he casually mentioned that he didn’t even have a copy of his own book. He had lent his personal copy complete with notes in all of the margins to a friend who had misplaced it somewhere in London. Shocked, Hopkins grabbed the book from his dressing room and showed the author. It was the exact same one.

Miami Dolphins tight end Jonnu Smith scored a touchdown in the first quarter of the game against the Las Vegas Raiders on 11/17/2024. We was so excited he threw the ball way up in the stands with no regard as to where it would land. It was caught by his oldest son, despite him not knowing where his family was sitting.

So looking at the attendance figures that day, I guess that makes the odds of this occurring at 65,440 to 1.
