Negative beliefs Part 2

Did anybody else resonate with what Bashar had to say about negative beliefs. I have found this to be very enlightening. The session handouts for “Brick walls and Beliefs” and “The Black Box” are here:

I am of retirement age and this is the first time in my whole life that someone had described perfectly how I feel sometimes. I first read this months ago and I knew this was important for me, but it didn’t sink in until a few weeks ago when I had some realizations.

First, I realized that positive and negative beliefs function and feel COMPLETELY different, because they function on different vibrational levels. And so they need to be understood differently in how to deal and cope with them.

Positive beliefs feel like expanding ripples on the surface of a pond. They are aligned with our higher selves, and the higher vibrations always feel good, like expansion and inclusion.

Negative beliefs on the other hand, because they are lower level vibrations, move downwards and crystallize into the honeycomb structure that Bashar shows in his diagram. This acts as a prison we get trapped in, that can’t be escaped from. It feels like the walls are closing in. No amount of thinking will EVER help us break free. In fact this makes it worse. Because our negative beliefs use Justification and Rationalization as tools to sustain it’s lower vibrations. If you look at the labels of the hex patterns, you’ll see all the tools they use. They can feel like an addiction, like an entity unto itself. They are all about tricking us to SUSTAIN the negative beliefs – the low vibrations. They makes us feel our survival is at stake. They are all about survival – sustaining the low vibrations. They create low level momentum that feels familiar.

Having experienced these low level vibrations that we don’t prefer, our natural instinct is to try and get rid of the negative belief. This is HUGE mistake. This will only result in them pulling us back in. It’s very important to understand that we should never try to get rid of our negative beliefs. They are our creations and are a part of ourselves. So getting rid of them would be like chopping off one of our arms.

The secret, is to understand how they function, and that they will ALWAYS function that way, and they can’t be changed. So being a part of ourselves, they need to be full accepted for what they are. Yes that’s right, they should be Loved, Appreciated and Accepted as they are. They are a part of us that we created, and we should love all parts of our selves.

Our negative beliefs are among the choices that we are free to choose. Realize that they are just as valid of a choice, as any other. Just chose what you prefer and let your negative beliefs be un-chosen. They will always be with us for the rest of our lives. So remember how they make us feel. Remember the experience of feeling trapped inside them. And simply choose something else that we prefer. Just ignore them. Let them be. Let sleeping dogs lie – so to speak.

I have found, that once I’m in in the midst of the negative belief, trying to change it from the inside never works. Recognizing how they don’t make sense, helps to redefine my definitions from a higher level of being outside the low level belief. Sometimes we might be choosing negative beliefs subconsciously out of habit for what feels familiar. This requires, as Bashar says, honest self-evaluation of our definitions in order to slow this momentum.

Create new positive beliefs. Use affirmations to help redefine your definitions about what you believe to be true. This helps strengthen the momentum of positive beliefs. An understanding of what Bashar says about our motivational mechanism will also help.

Life is always reflecting back to us our state of being. So if we’re feeling uncertain, for sure there will be challenges.

Can anybody else identify with this?
