Spiral Exercise.

Say out loud 4 times:
“I Desire to Define My Dedication to Detachment.”

While Looking at the diagram, see the spiral in the image as a 3-D cube. Follow the lines to the center, 4 times.

Then look at the Enneagrammatic Circuit Diagram and say out loud:
“From the Inner Being, through sight, sound, touch and feeling are manifested the path, windows and doors to the unknown, which always lead back to the Inner Being.”

Suggestions from Joe:

It can be a bit tricky at first to perceive the cube with depth. A couple of suggestions to try:

1. Keep your eyes still on one spot, possibly even gazing slightly off center and then move the diagram ever so slightly in and out of focus (think like you are looking through it slightly rather than at it) You may see the 3d cube briefly, or it may flicker in and out. That’s good progress.

2. Physically move the diagrams closer and further away allowing it to fill your field of vision to varying degrees. There will be one spot for you that is more conducive to seeing the dimensionality of the cube.

3. Download and print out the diagrams linked in the video description. Try both black in white and inverted options. Good luck and remember the very act of this initially feeling frustrating for you, IS actually the first offering from this exercise for you. You got this.
